I am having quite the day. For example, I just wrote my heart out and BOOM. Lost the whole post. Not to mention, my Michael's coupon expired yesterday and I went today... oh boy!
Since I already wrote what my heart needed to say, I will summarize:
I have been struggling to trust God with this next chapter of my life. I am having a hard time seeing the path He is calling me to walk on. I see what I think my purpose is, but have yet to go somewhere with it.
Lesson: God is fixing me to be refurnished to fulfill His calling on my life. Not what I see as my own, but what He truly desires me to do for His kingdom. If I want to follow His plan for me, I must remain faithful and be anxious of nothing.
I realized this as I refurbished my chair (pictured above). It was another one of my treasures from my most recent treasure hunt. Broken, considered useless, stained, this chair was not being used for it's intended purpose.
Then I got to make something new out of it.
As I painted the bright yellow, sanded the rough edges, and hammered a few things in to place, I realized that this is exactly was God was doing to me. I see my purpose, but cannot fathom His purpose. A chair's purpose is to sit, but I refurbished this chair so that is's purpose was to be a flower pot. It now sits on my front porch and I love it.
I am not as creative as God when it comes to understanding my purpose and His timing, so I have come to realize, though challenging, right now I am to seek and trust in Him, not myself.
...The LORD hears when I call to Him... Ponder in your own hearts on your bed, and be silent. Offer right sacrifices, and put your trust in the Lord. Psalm 4:3-5
